Let's build a house together where children grow up happily...
An orphanage is being built in the rural town of Nyamandhlovu near Bulawayo, where the children live with their native foster mothers and are prepared for a good independent life.
Future of any nation is in its children!
Zimbabwe has been experiencing myriad of challenges that inevitably require concerted efforts to ensure survival of orphans and other vulnerable children. HIV and AIDS pandemic resulted in many children being orphans. The traditional safety nets for children have been broken down resulting in child headed households and granny headed households which are in most cases incapacitated to provide care and support to orphans and other vulnerable children. The incessant droughts coupled with the economic challenges facing the country has adversely affected provision of care and support to children who are vunerable and find it difficult to survive.
For us, this was the moment to turn our vision and project partnership into reality! We will enable the most vulnerable
of society to live a decent life.
A project with heart and hand
After building up and registering our tax-exempt association Sunny Hill Childrens Home based in St. Gallen (Switzerland),
we were also able to register officially in Zimbabwe as a Trust and opened an office in the city of Bulawayo.
At the same time, research, conception, logo, homepage and appearance in the social media were developed.
Search for land to set up the childrens home has been successfully completed, construction planning and budget are at an advanced stage.
At the moment, network development and fundraising is running at full speed as we can only sustainably realize and operate our project with the support of donations. Do you also want to do something good with your money?
A loving home for every child
Our goal is to complete construction of the orphanage by 2024, that motivated employees can be recruited in the same year and start working together with the local social services to take in the first vulnerable children.
A small African-style farm will ensure part of our supply.

17 Sustainable Development Goals - "Leave no one behind"
The United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals Agenda 2030
serve as a compass for organizations, companies and states to align their activities towards sustainable development. These goals are also pursued by Sunny Hill Childrens Home.
The following UN goals are particularly important to us:
- SDG1: No poverty - Poverty reduces future opportunities
- SDG2: Zero Hunger - Malnutrition stunts growth
- SDG3: Health and well-being - HIV/AIDS drugs save lives
- SDG4: Education - Fair perspectives for a self-determined future
